VAS Experts launches new telecom partnership in Pakistan for DPI projects

DPI News

Traffic control and analytics software developer VAS Experts has signed a partnership agreement with the system integrator Vertical Business Solutions in Pakistan. The collaboration is aimed at developing projects for the country’s mobile and broadband operators.

The technological focus is on the Stingray Service Gateway platform, which is used to implement traffic management service scenarios, deploy value-added services, and improve network efficiency. ITGLOBAL.COM acts as the distributor of VAS Experts solutions in the region.

Growing demand for DPI solutions in Pakistan

Pakistan remains one of the largest telecom markets in South Asia, with a high share of mobile internet access and steady growth in data consumption. A significant proportion of subscribers use mobile networks as their primary means of internet access, increasing the load on operators’ infrastructure. Under these conditions, demand is growing for DPI solutions that enable traffic prioritization, quality of service management, and optimization of network resources.

“South Asia is experiencing rapid growth in telecommunications, and Pakistan plays a significant role thanks to its large subscriber base and active digital transformation. Operators need to expand their networks while also learning how to work with traffic in order to launch new services based on it. Cooperation with local partners helps implement such solutions in practice and develop additional services,” commented the Branch Director of ITGLOBAL.COM.

Stingray SG platform for traffic management and network optimization

Stingray SG is a DPI-class software platform for deep packet inspection and IP traffic management. The solution provides accurate classification of applications and protocols, QoS and QoE policy management, dynamic allocation of network resources, and real-time traffic prioritization. Stingray SG is deployed on standard x86 infrastructure, scales horizontally, and can be used both for network optimization and for enhancing security and resilience against network attacks.

In addition to solutions for internet service providers, the Stingray SG platform includes products for mobile operators. These include PCEF for traffic policy and quality-of-service management, PGW for mobile traffic processing and routing, and ePDG for the development of VoWiFi services and secure data transmission.

Local partnerships to support telecom service development

“In Pakistan, operators are actively developing bundled offerings and service-based business models, while infrastructure is being built with gradual scalability in mind. A key challenge is implementing service logic on top of the existing network without rebuilding it. Stingray SG makes it possible to apply policies for specific traffic categories, launch tariff options, and manage access to digital services. This reduces time-to-market for new services and lowers the workload on operational teams,” noted Syed Hadi, CEO and Founder of Vertical Business Solutions.
